in the year 1951, one boy and one girl meet at a party that was being hosted by both of their family friends. the party was a masked ball, and they'd booked out the Blackpool tower ballroom hall. there are many people and many faces hidden behind masks. eighteen-year-old Eloise Mitchell and nineteen-year-old Dominic Adams have been brought up in very strict, rich, old fashioned ways, including speech and the way they act. Eloise has many friends back at her art school, but because of the way she acts she's not really seen as normal. neither is Dominic, but he only has one friend at his university where he studies astronomy, David, who doesn't understand him at all and will only really hang out with him if he needs something. will these two find true love with one another?
