All Loki wanted when he escaped that godforsaken interrogation room was to find the Tesseract and use it to finish what he started. Now he's stuck working with Thor's human ex and an obnoxiously cheerful middle-aged man to catch another version of himself who could quite literally be at any time and any place in the history of ever. ... Loki was back in his cell after being discovered by Thor. He saw horrible things but had no way of escaping and helping his family. He is sadder and more depressive than normal. Can the Lovely Jane Foster help him out and discover the cruel truth about his past? As well as help him survive the cruel reality of earth? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'He opened the book and perused through the pages until he found the chapter called Loki and decided to read it to find out what stories and legends told about him. ...god of mischief...Odinson...blah blah blah...........evil....warrior.....foolish.....died in battle.......sacrifice......Asgard.....immortal....blah blah blah... It made him angry, it was filled with cold-hearted lies! He couldn't believe people thought so badly of him, well he had tried to take over Asgard a couple of times and Midgard, and both times he had almost succeeded if his brother hadn't stopped him. He could not hold in his anger anymore and he threw Odin's Norse Mythology book across the room which made a loud thud on the wall.'

"That's your reaction? Flirting?" Jane laughed. She knew it was a bad idea to taunt him, but she couldn't help it. "Seriously?" "Yes," Loki said, slamming her wrists against the wall before the space between their lips became dangerously small, making her gasp. "It would seem so." Is knowledge still worth it if a certain mischievous dark haired god is one grudgingly teaching her, will it really be so simple? The strangest thing about Loki was the fact that he flirted when he was angry. It had become a habit, and he often crushed the hearts of those who crossed him after a few suggestive gazes, but his actions during the punishment he had been given- teaching Thor's silly mortal- had begun to be the result of something besides anger. Jane realizes that Thor 's insistence on teaching her how to defend herself by giving her lessons in Asgard is based off of good intention, but what about when none other than Loki is put in charge of teaching her as part of his punishment by Odin. In return, it was sort of like Odin punishing her for stealing his oldest son's heart. But perhaps the ridiculously attractive green-eyed god is not all that he seems, though this forces her to practice a whole new kind of caution around him. She had accidentally fallen in love with a god once, and she is trying her very hardest not to do it again. Sofia Romanoff has been kept out of the public eye for years. Her mother Natasha has moved her around, and she's finally been taken to Avengers Headquarters while her mother and the famous superheroes fix a mess in Sokovia. Now 15, Sofi is tired of dying her hair every month and moving around so that people don't discover her true identity and her links to the infamous assassin turned hero mother. Being introduced to the well-known avengers, Sofi is brought into a new world of security she hasn't known before. As soon as she moves in with the other kids being protected at Headquarters, she and Lila Barton become fast friends. And Peter Parker, another moved-around kid, taken in by Tony Stark, makes her feel not so alone anymore. As the two bond over match-making the famous superhero group, including a possible match between Sofi's mother and the moody, dark haired Winter Soldier, Sofi's life has never been this good. After Thor's death, Jane's life is falling apart. She's lying to her therapist, she blocked her best friends' numbers, and is falling in a depression pool, filled with ice cream, and Netflix. Meanwhile, on Asgard, Loki is falling apart in his own ways, trying desperately to get a grip on his life. When the anniversary of Thor's death comes around, Loki finds himself on Midgard at Jane's door. Jane quickly realizes she's more comfortable around Loki than she has been around anyone since Thor's death... it'd be crazy if she fell for her dead fiancé's brother... right?

Picks up after the end of Thor: The Dark World...Despite Loki finally being king of Asgard, he cannot fully enjoy it. For now, he must still wear Odin's face. But when Thor brings Jane back to Asgard, Loki decides that it wouldn't hurt if just one person knew who the true king was. Will anyone believe Jane when she insists that Loki is still very much alive and very much insane?

Midgard was the last place Loki wanted to be, but when Thor bails him from the dungeons with the only conditions regarding his release being to have to learn something from the backwater realm, that's exactly where he ends up. However, not before conducting an underdeveloped experiment that leaves him sharing thoughts with a mysterious individual.

After Thor disappears into the sky, Jane returns to the lab to find a tall, dark stranger waiting for her. And he stays just long enough to mark her life forever.

Beskytter. Protector. Guardian. And Loki would truly rather die. He had protested to being held in a cell of the palace he'd been raised, which he found only after was a mistake, as Odin had chosen a punishment instead. A punishment that put him under the curse of protecting Thor's mortal. Jane has lost her job, and it seems she was about to lose Thor too. And with nobody at her side to comfort her, she looks to her last resort, someone she never thought she'd do much as talk to- the God of Mischief himself. (Chapters every Saturday.)
