Her parents weren't really hers, her town wasn't really hers, and even her planet wasn't really hers. Everything was already confusing enough without the fact that Loki was after her too. Who was she really? Was there another side to Loki that the X-Men weren't telling her? Why was she even here?

Part One of A Prince's Promise Series Somewhere in one of the many alternate realities of the universe, there is a Loki whose life as an Asgardian prince is changed forever when he meets you. Now I don't know about you, my fellow readers, but seeing Y/N in the story is weird and detracts from the story to me. This story IS a LokixReader fanfiction but I have opted to write it in first person to help readers immerse themselves in the story a bit more naturally. This idea came to me before Endgame came out and stemmed from wanting Loki to be happy in at least ONE reality. This is just part one and it will be a super slow burn and when you begin to read it, you'll see why. Part One WILL NOT have any mature content this time around but future parts will. Odin decides that since his son, Prince Loki of Asgard, is of no use anyway, he should at least be married off favourably. But to whom? That's what Loki still has to find out. This is based on a classic Cinderella fairy tale, only it takes place in Asgard and is a little different... Well... more Loki-style. :-) It starts after the movie "Thor the dark World", only with the difference that Loki did not fake his own death here, but saved the earth together with Thor and then returned with him to Asgard to be thrown back into the dungeon. Frigga is also not dead, but was only severely wounded and has now woken up after several weeks of death struggle. All characters (except my OC) belong to Marvel and Disney. I have no rights to them.

Since we have to wait literally years for the Loki season to be released, I thought I would write down a version of what could be in it, based on the leaks mentioned on YouTube. I'll post one chapter and if anyone wants more I'll do the rest. To get your brain humming, here is what happened previously... ---------------------------------------------- With his mouth clamped shut, even if he wanted to he couldn't alert the 'avengers' as to what had conveniently for him slipped from the briefcase. Landing just before his feet, the icy glowing cube almost beckoned him closer. In swift motion he bent down and with his shackled hands hastily snatched up the tesseract. With only a moments thought, he decided that wherever this block would lead him, it would almost definitely outshine the centuries of sitting in a cell back in Asgard that awaited him. They'd have no idea where he went he thought, smirking to himself. ---------------------------------------------
