After the events of Avengers 1, Loki is sent back to Asgard. As a punishment for his crimes, he's forced to accompany an original character in doing good deeds for the nine realms. On their journey, Loki meets an Asgardian girl called Sigyn that's been away from Asgard wreaking havoc across the universe. Thor: The Dark World doesn't happen.

Set before and during the events of the first Thor movie, Sigyn and Loki have been friends since they were children, but lately their friendship has seemed to be something more.

Sigyn is the daughter of the Leader of the Vanir witches who lived in Midguard and worshiped Odin. But she chose to devote her worshipings to Odin's other son Loki, as she fell in love with the God of Mischief. This story is what happens when she becomes stronger than her will.

This fanfiction is about Loki & Sigyn, his wife in Norse mythology. In this story, it's a bit different because Sigyn lives in Musphelheim and is the daughter of Surtur. Sigyn has loved Prince Loki all her life, but from afar, as she was too shy to ever talk to him. However, when she finds out he is in Hel, bound to a rock, while a snake pours its venom into his eyes, she begs Hela to let her join him, so she can ease his torments a little...

Let me tell you a story There was a boy left in a forest, taken in by an old sorcerer who had always wanted someone to care for. He raised the child as his own but all his love couldn't melt the boy's heart, and before long the child killed him and stole his books, and learnt all the forbidden techniques that he had tried to hide.

Like, I have this headcanon that Loki was actually married to Sigyn after his first landing on Earth, but the feds found out they weren’t human and in this whole confusion and conspiracy Sigyn is killed by one of the feds from SHIELD. Loki manages to escape and puts Sigyn to rest, and after much self torture and exile, he’s found by Thanos—who tells him he can help with his vengeance upon Earth for the death of his wife. Loki agrees to work with Thanos, and is forced into also finding to Tesseract. He goes to Earth, finds the Tesseract, and takes his vengeance, in the meantime creating a show big enough to reach the ears of Thor and Odin, knowing he’d be tried back home on Asgard—the second place where he has unfinished business. He also knows they needed the power of Tesseract to get back home, so he technically also returned it to its rightful owner. However, he also knows an impending war is on their hands for the now angry Thanos, who watched Loki and the Tesseract slip from his grasp. It kinda fills in a lots of holes as to why he was so angry with Earth, and adds deeper meaning to when Thor said that he didn’t necessarily want to rule, but that he wanted vengeance. Yeah. That’s one of my favourite headcanons I’m actually rather proud of it lol

Sigyn, a young serving girl, woke up in an unfamiliar room and was told that she would be reassigned to cleaning the princes chambers. What she didn't know when she was given the task was that her life would be flipped upside down. Falling for one brother and coming to hate the other, Sigyn is faced with the burden of life with no stop in change.

Loki knows pain. He's dealt with much worse than Odin, that sentimental fool. He knows that whatever his punishment will be, he will bear it with ease. But, to Loki's growing horror, Odin can be very creative when it comes to discipline. But being stripped of most of his magic, forced under an obedience spell, reaved of his lies and sent to live with the Avengers is cruel, even for Odin. But Loki will survive. (It isn't like he has much choice, anyways.)

Nightmares and dreams haunt her, drenched in sadness and longing. She lies awake, wide awake, and she thinks of her husband. She misses him terribly, missing every minute of each day that passes without him by her side. Every night when she closes her eyes and lets herself fall into slumber, his name is the first one that comes to mind. The dead cannot be brought back to life. But perhaps, someday, she'll find the strength to forgive him for abandoning her, forsaking the gods for her. Perhaps, sometime tomorrow or the day after that, the gods will be merciful enough to make his promise come true. "I'll wait for you," she whispers. "And find you, where ever you are, even if it was another universe, even if it were another lifetime..." She smiles sadly to herself in her bed, "...you will always be my love." She waits for him day and night, every moment she sleeps is torture. Her heart aches. Her blood boils. She wants nothing more than for them both to return together. The worst part about living every day alone is that the emptiness is always there, waiting for him, craving his touch.
