A philosophical and ironic story about an immigrant from the post-Soviet space who begins teaching free tai chi classes in a park in Northern Italy.
Through the "duck trick," teenagers, the Moroccan Karim, young women, and elderly Italians, the author explores the process of adaptation, the clash of cultures, the biomechanics of body and mind, conditioned reflexes, and the search for the present. A dry ethological perspective, humor, and precise observations of people and nature transform the story into a meditation on escape, rooting, and the Tao, which operates by its own rules.
