This is book number THREE in the Bloodshock series! It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you read the previous books in the series (1-2) but ESPECIALLY book ONE (Royalty) and book TWO (Alternative) before you read this book! Mild fantasy or possibly supernatural aspects. Vezaias, now living at his Gran's house is able to start at another public school. He made a vow to never fall in love again after things with the ghost and the criminal ended so horribly. This doesn't stop him from making new friends, especially another quiet, troubled, bullied, young man named Remington. Vezaias tries desperately not to fall in love with him but fate seems to draw them closer without any effort. Things go south when Remington is bullied by kids at school but worse yet he is bullied by his own father for being friends with Vezaias. This prompts Vezaias to distance himself from Remington in an attempt to lessen the ridicule and torture. Vezaias plays it safe by getting a girlfriend and cements himself into a relationship where he isn't satisfied at all being the perfect boyfriend to the perfect girl. Remington's father catches him trying to admit his feelings for Vezaias, and suddenly even being just friends is dangerous. Keeping their friendship a secret for such a long time destroys both of their happiness and suddenly Vezaias is ready to admit loud and clear how much he loves Remington but that only brings upon a tragedy so horrible that Remington decides to ghost Vezaias for good. Will they ever be together? Or will Vezaias be cursed to wander the streets alone forever? Or will Vezaias or Remington decide that life just isn't worth living anymore?
