Have you ever been alone before? Looking around, but no one is there. Feeling lost and terrified. Just looking for another cat to be by your side, protect you from the demons, and comfort you in the darkness. No. You have no idea how it feels. The lonely aching in your chest. The crowding darkness, waiting to swallow you whole. And not one cat will care if you're gone. Not one will notice. Not one will cherish you in the way all should be. I am alone. I will always be alone. But I will not go out with a whisper. No, I will make them pay. They will pay for making me be alone.

I walk into class. I see the usual The Pricks, The Jocks, The Preps, Nerds and then there's me. I catagorize myself to my own group because i dont really fit in to any of the others. I get the usual reactions when people see my face. The "Ew's" and the "Ugh's" but im used to it. I have been to this school for 5 years. Yes i am in high school and Yes i did fail a grade last year. Deerpaw is just supposed to be some apprentice of WindClan. That's what she thought. After she gets taken by a twoleg, Deerpaw is taken faraway from WindClan. When she's able to be free from the twolegs, she has nowhere to go as a rainstorm is soon to come. Her only option is take shelter in a barn. In the barn, she never existed to see other cats that would be watching her. As the rainstorm becomes a thunderstorm, Deerpaw has no choice, but to go with the barn cats. One of the barn cats, Athens, seem to fond of Clanlife and keeps on asking Deerpaw about it. After many times of not wanting to, to make Athens stop asking, Deerpaw tells her all about what it's like being in a Clan. Deerpaw and Athens soon start meeting with each other more often than ever. Deerpaw teaches Athens about Clan life, while the barn cat touches her how to hunt rodents here. They start to become close with each other. That's when Deerpaw realizes that she wasn't a barn cat.
