Background: Doug Kendall is a Case manager, Evan Buckley's parents and Daniel are nice but they died in a car crash on the way back from 10-year-old Evan Buckley's Soccer game. Maddie Buckely is mean and hurts Evan. Maddie thinks Doug Kendall is in love with her, but he is only there to save Evan Buckley. Doug Kendall gets Evan out and takes him to Austin Texas, where he gives him to the Reyes Family who are good friends of his. The Reyes treat Evan like their own son Carlos. Carlos and Evan become close, but Evan is still really shy.

The 126 is called out to a house fire where Judd surprisingly reunites with his younger, rebellious cousin Addalyn after years of her leaving the state of Texas. Her surprise return comes along with baggage that she must keep running from or stand up and face it.
