At birth, every child is born with a the outline small heart in black on the wrist of their dominant hand. At the ripe age of twelve, on the day of their birthday, at exactly 12:01 AM, a name appears in black. The name is of the child's future soulmate. The place is of the first place they have skin to skin contact. When said child meets their soulmate, the heart fills in, still black. When the child, presumably older by this point, first kisses their soulmate, the heart turns red. The universe is made so that there is no chance you will not meet your soulmate. Your job, is the rest.

This is how me and my significant other fell in love, how we figured out our own identities and how we live every day. We met as a pansexual girl and a straight cis boy, fell in love with eachother as two pansexual humans and grew together as a transmasculine confused mess and a trans girl.
