He takes one look at my suede poppy skates and scoffs at me not taking me seriously. "Watch me." I dare. I close my eyes, lean forward and use my right foot to take one step in. How will this fearless skater react after her classmate drags to light the reason her dads not in the picture? After being put through the emotional ringer will Jade be able to roll with the punches life throws at her?
