Abby never expected a simple online chat to change her life. What started as late-night conversations with Leo-a charming, thoughtful guy living halfway across the world in China-slowly blossoms into something deeper. Their bond grows through laughter, inside jokes, and vulnerable confessions, even as Abby's best friend Emily meddles with chaotic "plans" to help Abby confess her feelings. Between Emily's hilarious interference, Abby's nervous heart, and Leo's steady warmth, what unfolds is a story of friendship turning to love across borders. When Abby finally travels to China to meet him, their connection is tested and strengthened, leading to sweet moments, comedic interruptions, and a love story that feels both real and magical. Told with warmth, humor, and a dash of chaos thanks to Emily, this is a tale of long-distance love, friendship, and finding the courage to say what your heart has known all along.

Some say fate begins with a look. Others believe it starts with a word. But for Carter, it began with a statue's breast. He had been to Italy for work, four hours by train from his temporary life in Switzerland. Carter, a director at a pharmaceutical company, Carter had long buried himself in spreadsheets and strategy meetings, trading connection for ambition. Loneliness came in quiet waves, especially during those long international travels where time zones and hotel pillows reminded him how far he'd drifted from something real. Then came Juliet. Or rather, her statue. It was just a moment, a curious gesture whispered by centuries of folklore: "Grab her breast for luck in love." Carter chuckled at the absurdity, but did it anyway. Just for fun. He didn't expect anything to change. But within days, a new match appeared on a dating app. Nancy, Singapore, Strong, independent, working three jobs and still managing to look like she stepped out of a dream. Their worlds could not have been more different, yet somehow, the stars, or maybe Juliet, had something else in mind. And so began their story. A connection spanning 11,680 kilometers. A conversation born from laughter, sincerity, and one impulsive touch of bronze. Some say it's foolish to believe in signs. But Scott wasn't so sure anymore. Because the night he held Juliet's statue... fate might have reached back.

(Previously titled "Between Pickles and Friends") Working at a radio station has it perks. Julie Cassidy found that out one weekend while broadcasting live from the Kansas City Comic Con. When Sebastian Stan agreed to do a live on-air interview with her, it was the opportunity of a life time. When she volunteered to take him to lunch, it got even better! When I started this story I had no idea where it was headed. By the end of chapter one, I realized it was going to be a short, simple little tale about two people who decide to give love a chance, even though they know it won't be easy and the odds are against them. I like to believe that the characters are both willing and strong enough to make it work. What do you think?
