The beginning of this story starts with a young woman who was forced to flee her country, to disappear supposedly forever as she runs from a man who wants her to either marry him or otherwise die. Here the story splits two ways, between two people: One line follows the path of the young woman's daughter as she adjusts from a life of murderous crime to learning of her true heritage and past and her struggles to come to grips with it. The other follows the life of a young man who is seemingly a nobody, living on the outskirts of poverty, however, he learns soon enough that he is anything but.
