The feelings of being trapped inside a cage has overtaken the mind. The feeling of trying to break free and the feeling of trying to find who I am and what I am meant to me. starving to get a little sight of freedom.

This isn't a joke when I say it's a deeply personal and emotional poem. It's not my usual metaphors and romantic love and heartbreak, it's about family and the grief one feels when someone who ties the family together dies. To be more specific, grief through a child's eyes and the role it plays psychologically. Dedication: To my grandfather, I wish you were my father instead. A personal message to people who take drugs, alcohol, smoke etc etc.. You don't know what it can do to someone you love. So please stop.
