You where on your way home after a long day of school when you decided to take the long turn since it was the last nice day of the year. your friend would normally have walked with you but she claimed she was to tired and just wanted to get home. you promised to check up on her and see how she was doing since she hated walking home alone no matter what time of day. as you were walking you started to get this feeling in your stomach that you shouldn't have let her walk home without you and you should have gone with her. While your walking she suddenly stops messaging and you just assumed she had made it home. but when you get a message from her mother after you had already been home for over an hour asking if she was with you, you got that feeling again and started to panic. Livia Sivan knew her best friend Gualtieri Mascolo as soon as she was born. Gualtieri, or as people call him, Gal, is Livia's mother's best friend's son. The two were very inseparable and you'd barely see them alone or apart except the time when Gal and his family needed to migrate to Italy. Still after that, distance didn't ruin their friendship apart. And when Gal's mom went back to Italy, Livia's mother started telling Livia stories about Gal that Gal's mother told her about and likewise. Weeks after Gal's mom left, Livia received a friend request on Facebook from Gal and since then, they started talking with each other again. Another year passed, Gal and his family went back for his father's business trip and that's where their friendship began to blossom again.

I suppose I have found it easier to identify with the characters who verge upon hysteria, who were frightened of life, who were desperate to reach out to another person. But these seemingly fragile people are the strong people really.

Writing is the only way I can escape reality.
