With his eyes widened in shock and his heart thumping ferociously in his rib cage, he turned to face the people he had done everything to protect. Just as he turned to face them, Veronica was standing just an inch away from him, bumping into his trembling body. He gasped and almost fell in this own steps. She grabbed him and searched his horror filled eyes. "Talk to me!" She pulled him closer to her bosom. The heavy deep sigh that came from his lungs was enough to tell her that trouble has come knocking.
