The authors created this story for the EC Writing Contest. Seraphina was born with a shadow that could speak to her, but no one else could hear or see it. Even at her young age (early to mid-teens), she shows strength and wisdom, as her soul is old and has lived numerous lives. This young woman was initially born into a coven, where they bound her soul with magic, making her a witch. Sadly, since her soul was so young and naïve, she fell under the spell of corruption, making one bad judgment after another, hurting all in her way or who she felt wronged her. In her present life, Seraphina has to endure the pain of discovering what she did in previous lives, the evil she had become at one time. This is the collection of poems I have created. For many years, I have been fascinated by the countless aspects of our existence--nature, love, and so much more. Inspired by the world around me, I decided to express myself through poetry. Although I write novels, I find that crafting poems also creative and enjoyable.
