Even with his eyesight, Legolas can not tell if the shadow is real or a part of the looming war. Deep in Rohan, a woman questions her heritage, then turns it into her greatest asset. With the companionship of Eomer and the other Rohirrim, she sets out on what she initially thought was an exile until she stumbled upon a group tracking their latest victims. She doesn't want to help them because they are strangers, and she's seen what happened to Rohan. But something in her blood encourages her to act as a guide. At least for the time being.
