"I-I can't..." The boy pants, his knuckles turning white from how tight his grip is on the sink. Being lost, confused is an unfamiliar feeling to Draco Malfoy. He is confused and what confuses him even more is that he lacks the knowledge of how to get a grip on himself in a situation like this. He doesn't know. For the first time in his life, Draco Malfoy tastes the feeling of not knowing. And it's bitter, it's so bitter that it burns. He loosens his tie before it chokes him even more. The sound of the water drowns his cries, his tears mixing with the water in the sink. "How am I... How am I supposed to do it...?" Choosing between love and survival is the worst. Especially when you do not own your own life. Draco is trapped, he is imprisoned with his own emotions. For the first time in his life he wants to be left behind, forsaken. He wants to be forsaken by his emotions, his heart. Then maybe he will not have to choose between her and survival.

That is until his consciousness awakens in his own younger self's mind, and he sets to convince his counterpart that, "No, Harry, you are not mad (hysteric maybe, but not mad) if you listen to the (again, questionably) wise words of your inner mind." Or, Harry might not find being Death's master very flattering...but that doesn't mean Death is going to give up on Harry, not so soon. Along with Life, Death gifts Harry with another chance, a third chance to set things right...after all, third time's the charm, right? This work is the second installment of the book 'Double Trouble' and the second work of the series 'The Gift Of Death' and can be read as a stand alone (probably). Harry Potter does not belong to me.
