They soon figure out she isn't normal and attempt to study the girl while proving to be a loving, nurturing home for her. However, her life gets hard when a boy and his sister comes along messing with everything she knew.

In a dramatic twist, Lorelie accepts Bill's true identity as a vampire, but their relationship takes a dark turn when Bill loses control and bites her, causing Lorelie to lose her memory. Bill supports her during her recovery, and as Lorelie regains her memories through a kiss, they acknowledge their love. The story ends with Lorelie embracing their immortal vampire nature and sealing their eternal bond, symbolizing the triumph of love over darkness as they embark on their shared destiny.
