17 year old Vala Brian is a shy, introverted, girl at Franklin High. She prefers reading more than people. Her brother, Sam, tends to steal the spotlight. He almost always has. So when the new damaged and brooding Troy, joins her school, Vala doesn't know what to do with all of this extra attention. She gets so wrapped up in his past and saving him that when her future comes, she doesn't know how to save herself.
