After the devastating loss of Magneto, the X-Men struggle to move forward. Rogue tries to hold onto the life she built with Gambit, but grief changes everything, including her heart. As Magneto's daughter, Polaris arrives at the mansion carrying her own pain, and the two women slowly find comfort in each other. When Rogue finally ends her relationship with Gambit, the fallout leaves the entire team shaken. While Anna Marie searches for a way to heal, she and Lorna grow dangerously close, forcing Rogue to confront feelings she never imagined she'd have. "Lorna... we can't do this type stuff, sugah... Ah can't even touch ya." But Lorna has an answer Rogue never considered. "You dated my father, Anna Marie. He found a way to hold you... and so can I."

College is hard enough on it's own but being one of the few mutants on campus doesn't help matters. It also doesn't help that Lorna's biological father is none other than the infamous Magneto, who had just resurfaced with a trail of bodies in his wake. Then again, as Lorna and her half-siblings discover, not all the those bodies are dead.
