When a young girl and her best friends speed half there summer trying to defeat a killer clown. Derry, Maine has always been a strange place. A modern-day 2026 IT gender-swap AU focused primarily on high-school drama, rivalry, jealousy, character development, secrets, and personal lives, with elements inspired by Mean Girls. The story takes place during a period when Pennywise is asleep, meaning Pennywise isn't an active presence in the story and won't be waking up for a long time. This allows the story to focus almost entirely on the characters themselves rather than supernatural horror. The story still contains many recognizable IT canon details, but those details are gender-swapped, altered, and adapted to fit this version of Derry.
