Preview: My tears dripped over his slender fingers and he wiped them each time they fell, and I remember now that this is the only place I had ever felt truly loved. In his arms, being held and comforted by the only person who had ever truly loved and protected me. Then my heart broke, and shattered in the doorway of my home, our home realizing my only safe space was being ripped away from me and the only one at blame was me.
