In Willow's village, the whispers come every night. Those who hear them slowly go mad until there is no rational mind left -- like her mother did. When the only person she has left goes crazy from them, Willow is left with nothing at all. She is hunted as a freak for being able to withstand the whispers, and meets Aris -- a boy who heard the whispers, but was absolutely fine.
