I don't owning Star Wars rebels but I sure do wish I did. This is the third book in the Dark Side of Kanan series. First Kanan goes to the dark side then Ezra and Steel get captured and a friend becomes an enemy. What will Lyra have to face next! Well here you go. Ezra's back home and so is Steel. An alternative to the ending of the Ahsoka finale, where she and Sabine end up returning to Lothal right behind Ezra before resuming their journey. Her tone was unpleasantly shocked and her eyebrows furrowed as she shifted her vision to Ahsoka. "Why are we traveling to the Core? Shouldn't we be heading to explore the Unknown Regions?" she asked. "When Rex calculated every star chart along his trajectory that day, all of them led in that direction." "And that's exactly why we're returning to Coruscant. There's a vital piece of information we must acquire if we're going to even attempt to access that portion of the galaxy." Sabine shook her head in disapproval, "But after the fall of the Republic, the Emperor stripped away any remnant of the old Jedi Temple and converted it into his palace. What happens if the information you're looking for isn't even there?" "The information I seek is stored in more places than one. I believe that if we can access the Imperial data vault, we can extract what we need." Ahsoka pointed to a quadrant of the temple that became highlighted in red. "Look, even if the data you're looking for is at the palace, what about the Imperial security? There's bound to be loyalists lurking in every corridor. How will we get around them?" This is book 3 in my Angel series, it's not necessarily needed in the story, it's just kind of a follow up. I got the idea from the Mandalorian series on Disney+, where she just kind of jumps around to different planets and stuff. Kanan in this story meets Ezra in an unexpected turn of events and not with the others. When the empire shoots down the ghost, Kanan falls off and the others are taken to a prison facility on the other side of lothal. Never having been on lothal before or on the streets with no supplies he meets Ezra, a street smart kid who knows lothal better than anyone. With Ezra's help Kanan makes his way to the other side of lothal and makes a surprising relationship.

When Ezra wakes up at the scene of a battle, things take a turn for the strange. Only time will tell what the cause was . . . or what the result will be.

Aboard The Ghost, the night after Kanan and Ezra went to Fort Anaxes, everyone begins to notice a change in behavior in Ezra. He begins to split from the rebels and hides something important from Kanan. Hera and Sabine return to Lothal to inspect Ezra's old hideout and find something that explains what happened to Ezra's parents. After the crew dropped off Tseebo, his head piece was removed and Chopper and Zeb decode the information and learn all the secrets of the Empire.
