Spending his life growing up as the surrogate parent to his brothers, Ubbe finds himself at a lost when those young boys he always thought he'd be taking care of find their own righteous paths in viking history. With each boy finding his future Ubbe is placid about what he will do in life until a mysterious woman, claiming to be mercenary hired by Queen Aslaug herself, shows up full of arrogance and working for something his own mother seems to be omitting. A story about how Ubbe discovers himself dislodged from what he thought he would always know, this violent coy woman helps Ubbe find the game of cat and mouse in which the strong prince didn't ever think he'd become the mouse.

i love vikings bjorn owns my heart so I apologise if there is a lot more bjorn than any other character 😅

Aslaug was one of Ragnar Lodbrok's wives and bore him many sons. However, prior to meeting him, she spent her childhood looked up in a harp. Then, when the harp owner was murdered, raised by a beastly pair who insisted Aslaug never wash in order to hide her beauty. Once released from this life of miserable slavery, Aslaug went on to marry Ragnar Lodbrok, the famous Viking. She bore many children to him as well as help raise some of his other children. At times, her relationship with one of her stepchildren was considered questionable as she favoured him over even her own children.
