The world is changing. The Éadig family has resided on the Meduseld estate for generations. Once a clan of wealthy benefactors and socialites, the 21st century has seen the contents of the family bank account shrink and the strength of their home and name fall victim to the slow march of time. Théadain, the eldest daughter of the family, has dedicated her life to ensuring the survival of the Eorl Foundation, a charity established by one of her ancestors - but the charity may soon be the least of her worries. A large mining company has set its sights on her family's land, and with the will of her father weakening, she is suddenly confronted with the reality that she may be forced from the only place in the world she truly loves. With the deadline for a decision approaching, Théadain must lay aside her pride and turn to the only law firm in the country that would dare stand up to her rivals - she just needs to convince the new senior partner to take up her case. A Lord of the Rings AU - Aragorn X OC Based on characters from my 'Lament for the Rohirrim' series and by default J.R.R Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings'. Alternate title: 'The Hallmark Movie Middle Earth AU That No One Asked For And Would Have JRRT Spinning In His Grave Like A Rotisserie Chicken' (Don't take it too seriously. Sorry JRRT.)

"King Thranduil's voice rung out again, filling the area, 'And Legolas? Do not fail, she could be the tipping of the balance that Middle-earth needs.'" - Lumornel has always been a quiet girl, content with her nose stuck in a book or writing in her journal. She'd rather sit in a tree and read than leave the forests of her home. But she then learns that not all is as it seems. An unexpected quest is thrust upon her. Her shyness must be swept aside and she must stand strong as the War of the Rings rages on. And what happens when Lumornel stops an Uruk-Hai from shooting Boromir on Amon Hen and the Ring is taken from Frodo? In these times of troubles, she finds unexpected love in a certain woodland prince. She faces terrifying enemies, unexpected consequences, and surprising revelations, such as her part in an ancient prophecy. And one constant remains; the sorrow she feels for Arda. Most importantly, she finds herself in the middle of it all because of one thing: she bears a power that no one has been known to have. Because of this power, she is forced into the Fellowship of the Ring: the tenth member. - "This story is not your average Lord of the Rings fanfiction where some girl enters the fellowship as the tenth walker and inherits some strange ability, it is much more than that. It is a story of love and compassion, the battle against the mind's inner demons, and the weariness and desire for a better world that drives the soul." - • Completed 7/31/18 • - Awards won: •Overall Winner and •Best Female Character of the 'Precious Awards' hosted by @Meisha13578. •Second Place in 'The Battle of Helm's Deep' hosted by @Middle_Earth_Awards Highest Rankings: •1 in lotrfanfiction •1 in LotR •1 in middle-earth •1 in legolasgreenleaf •2 in Tolkien •1 in original character • 1 in lotrau •1 in projectclean • 2 in Legolasfanfiction - *Contains a chapter written by nonother than Monste

"Please, I just want the Shire back," Samwise pleaded. Gandalf sighed, "There is no Shire. The Orcs have destroyed it. This is the only way." With that, we all stood in a close huddle and Aragorn gave a knowing, solemn nod. Gandalf smiled as the light surrounded us and before I knew it, the light was gone. --- The longest I'd spent away from my parents has been two weeks, but I'm not worried about the first month at Uni. I'm coming back to visit in a month any ways, I have no idea why mums stressing so much. "Remember to stay safe honey," she smiled from the garden path, "and do your laundry!" "Mum, I'll be fine," I pushed in one last bag then jogged over to her one last time, "seriously." I kissed her slightly wrinkled forehead, reminding her that I'm 19 already. "Bye dad."
