For generations, the White Throne of Gondor has stood empty, guarded by Ruling Stewards who have long forgotten that they were meant to serve a king, not replace one.
Hidden within the walls of Minas Tirith lives Y/N, the last surviving descendant of a forgotten cadet branch of the House of Elendil. To Steward Denethor II, the young prince is not family, but a dangerous reminder that the royal blood of Númenor still flows through Gondor. Unable to stain his hands with the crime of kinslaying, Denethor condemns Y/N to the doomed battlegrounds of Osgiliath, expecting the dark lord to finish what he cannot.
Instead, Y/N survives.
Escaping the city that sought to break him, he journeys north and finds Aragorn, the wandering Heir of Isildur. Under the Ranger's guidance, Y/N discovers the courage, honor, and purpose that had been denied to him all his life. Armed with the ancient Elven blade Maegil and forged into one of the Dúnedain's finest warriors, he returns to Gondor determined to protect the only family he has ever truly known, is foster brothers, Boromir and Faramir.
But when Boromir is summoned to Rivendell in search of the mysterious One Ring, Y/N overhears Denethor's desperate plan to claim the Enemy's greatest weapon. Knowing that no good can come from such a burden, he abandons everything to follow his brother into the wild.
His choice will lead him into the Fellowship of the Ring, through the dark halls of Moria, the golden woods of Lothlórien, and the breaking of the Fellowship at Amon Hen. Along the way, Y/N must resist the Ring's terrible temptation, endure devastating loss, and fight beside the greatest heroes of the Third Age as the fate of Middle-earth hangs by a thread.
