Little Men, or Life at Plumfield with Jo's Boys, is a novel by American author Louisa May Alcott, first published in 1871. The novel reprises characters from Little Women and is considered by some the second book in an unofficial Little Women trilogy, which is completed with Alcott's 1886 novel Jo's Boys, and How They Turned Out: A Sequel to "Little Men". It tells the story of Jo Bhaer and the children at Plumfield Estate School. It was inspired by the death of Alcott's brother-in-law, which reveals itself in one of the last chapters when a beloved character from Little Women passes away. Honestly I used to ship Jo and Laurie but then I saw the 2019 version of Little Women and I fell in love with Amy and Laurie and realized that these two are perfect together. They compliment each other so well and they're so adorable tbh Laurie and Jo would never work they're only meant to be best friends so I made this story because of how underrated Amy and Laurie are.

Laurie had proposed to Jo March in the thoughts of being in love with her, only to be heartbroken when she refuses. Much later, he runs into Amy March, Jo's sister, by chance in Europe. This story goes from there and tells the story of how they fell in love.

For those of you who have read the wonderful, beautiful and extremely lovable novel "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott and cried when Jo rejected Laurie's proposal. I understand how you must have felt. This is a fanfiction as quoted by the title. If Jo had to reject Laurie this is how it should have ended. This fanfic depicts my point of view. This story does not tends to offend any reader. Meg loves fashion and would love to be a fashion model. Jo hates being ladylike and can't wait to escape her family to work for the New York Times or a publicist for a famous albeit reclusive composer. Beth would rather be home and hopes to attend the Berklee School of Music so she could live at home. Amy wants to be a famous artist and travel around the world. She has her heart set on the Parsons School of Art.

What if Laurie didn't love Jo? What if all along since childhood it was Amy? Would they confess their love sooner? How does Jo feel about it? Does she actually have feelings for him? This story is based of the Greta Gerwig movie adaptation and partially the book and I also have made Laurie and Jo two years older than Amy instead of three because I want their love story to start earlier and three year age gap seemed to big for what age I plan for it to start. I really do love this ship and Jo and Laurie just is a no. So sorry to any Jo and Laurie shippers this isn't for you. (You can still read it tho I really don't care.) All right to Louisa May Alcott and whoever made the Little Women adaptation besides Greta. Hope you enjoy and you like the cover I made :)
