During her time there, she becomes entangled with the Lord of Crime and begins to work for him, all while wanting to find a way home back to her family. Warnings: Mentions of kidnapping, attempted assault, murder, blood, human trafficking, mentions of racism against Hispanics/mixed race people. I myself am Hispanic and mixed race, so I hope this can also bring awareness and comfort to those who are split between two cultures. This story does include much historical information about the United States during the time of the 1840s - 1880s in future chapters. I did my best to research properly, but honestly, I had much trouble finding trustworthy information about Hispanic Americans at the time (much to my own frustration).
