Or Harry will be bashed all over the internet and kicked from the band. They had to think about this and they knew that they had to do all that it took to protect their boyfriend. Which led them to go with the first option. Which was the bad choice to make. Because even though they were trying their hardest to protect Harry. All that they did at the end was hurt him. Harry felt so much pain and he just couldn't take it. It brought him to make the ultimate choice to leave the band. Which woke the 4 boys up.
