Telmarines now rule the land and the talking Beasts are dead and forgotten, mostly. As Prince Caspian X, rightful heir to the throne, flees the castle of Beaverdam and his uncle's murderous hand, he stumbles upon the fairy tales of old. Under Caspian's banner, the Narnians rally to overthrow Miraz and his men, but there is dissention among them. Not all Narnians are so willing to trust a Telmarine. Aaralynn and the Pevensies must help the two nations unite, but first they must unite themselves. Sequel to The Water is Wide.
