Martha May Whovier was known through the town
For ribbons and sparkles and jaw-dropping gowns.
But even with glitter and glam piled high,
Her heart always drifted to one place nearby:
A quiet old clearing where moonbeams would fall,
And a feeling would whisper, "He's near... after all."
And there stood the Grinch-
green, grouchy, and grand-
With a look in his eye she could finally understand.
A wiggle, a flutter, a shiver, a sigh-
Two hearts beat a little too loud in the sky.
Confessions came tumbling, then vows in the snow,
For love has a way of deciding to grow.
With the trees as their witnesses, moon as their guide,
A Who and a Grinch stood together, side by side.
A tale full of wonder, of sparkles and might-
Of a love that began on a frost-twinkled night.
