He looked up, eyes darting everywhere like his brain was buffering. "Um... Mr. Mr..." "Mr. what?" Seo-ah rolled her eyes. "Come on, Jungkook, I know you too well to fall for your lies-" Before she could finish, Jungkook's mouth moved faster than his brain. "YEAH! MR. KIM TAEHYUNG!" Seo-ah blinked. "Mr. Kim Taehyung?" "Yes!" Jungkook blurted, voice gaining dramatic confidence out of sheer panic. "My boyfriend's name is Mr. Kim Taehyung Seo-ah raised a brow. "Wait. Captain Kim Taehyung? The special forces officer everyone's obsessed with online?" "Yes, yes, yes-he's my boyfriend. Captain Kim Taehyung." Jungkook straightened up, puffing his chest. Seo-ah smirked. "Don't tell me you made him up." "Made him up? Ha! Of course not, Seo-ah. I'm not like you, you know!" Jungkook scoffed sassily. "If you don't believe me, when you come back from Australia with your annoying boyfriend, I'll introduce you to him. You know he proposed to me with a diamond ring? I'm so lucky. He's literally the most handsome man in the world. But unfortunately... he's mine. All mine." Jungkook smiled shyly, adding with a dreamy sigh, "You know, Seo-ah, he's totally obsessed with me. To the world, he's Captain Kim Taehyung. But to me? He's just my baby." Seo-ah: "..." Jungkook: 😏 mic drop "I-I'll call you later, I'm busy! Harry's here!" Seo-ah rushed, hanging up before Jungkook could brag any more about his perfect boyfriend. Jungkook stared at his phone screen, a slow smirk spreading across his face. "Hmm?" he murmured, leaning back on the couch with his sandwich. "Jealous already?" He chuckled softly, took another bite, and hit play on his movie. The faintest grin stayed on his face the whole time.
