Bay was given this potion from the moment she was born. Her parents decided this because they felt their daughter would think the same as them. Throughout the book Bay uncovers secrets from this potion and has a romantic struggle with someone who isn't on the potion. She loves him and must find a way to not be on it, whilst doing so she struggles with religious issues and deals with her parents, the people who funded the potion in the first place. But whose going to stop her since she can never die? (This story starts with her position but changes its point of view)
