Marine Staff Sergeant Stephanie Zoubareya is on medical leave after breaking the golden rule of the Corps: don't put ghosts in your report. Certainly don't follow them into the Malian desert and fight a fundamentalist militia. (It might not technically be a golden rule, but it should be.) As she contemplates what she's going to do with the rest of her life, she gets an under the table gig protecting a mute archaeologist. All they have to do is drive to New England, check out a statue, spend some of the NSA's money on hotel that looks out onto the sea. But that was before she killed a monster in a New York alleyway, or a religious cult cornered them at a gas station. Now she's worried that Dr. Penny Etrange is more than she seems, that Wickerman Cove has a secret, and that she might not actually be working for the NSA.

The night of "Operation 1924" has just come to a close, and the repercussions of it have Safe Haven reeling. However, one group in particular is unaffected by the events of the Saved's most recent terroristic effort. James Smith reluctantly takes a part-time job as a security officer to make ends meet. In the lobby of the building in which he works sits a massive bronze bull. It's the company's icon that James finds to be rather ghastly and a little unnerving for a lobby ornamentation. James is counting down the days when he can quit his part-time job, but his last night working security at Perillus Incorporated will shatter his view of reality and push him to the brink of madness.

Something was never meant to blink. A secret piece of information. An overlooked matter. A name that is continuously repeated, regardless of how often it's wiped away. Certain symbols are not symbols in any sense. They are promises And the promise is also due.

Something about the small fishing town at the end of the valley always felt, well, off. People would often go there to trade for luxury cuisine or to see the strange creatures that would sometimes be caught in the fishing nets of the towns inhabitants, but one day that had stopped. The trade, the stories, the people coming and going, had simply ceased. Many people wondered what had happened to the small town but no one dared venture down there for fear of the unknown. But one young man had grown up with tales of the fishing town at the end of the valley and was determined to discover the truth behind the town's silence.

Beyond the universe lies a graveyard of otherworldly things. Some humans see it as their duty to explore, to figure out these new mysteries. Instead, they only end up with something else...

An investigator wishes to learn the truth about a strange disappearance in the town of Woodstock, Illinois in which the entire town left in an unplanned, unexplained mass exodus.
