This is the novel behind the TV series, "Love Like the Galaxy". Slightly different from the TV series, the book is about a modern young lady, Yu Cailing, who somehow ends up in the body of Chen Shaoshang, a young lady in ancient China. This story chronicles Yu Cailing / Chen Shaoshang's adventures through life, her loves and her laughs with her family and romantically complex men. The story takes place after Huo Buyi left for the border, and Cheng Shaoshang decided to live in seclusion beside Empress Shen'an, staying behind the palace walls. On those days, someone was there to take care of her for Huo Buyi, but as the time goes by, their feelings towards each other changes.

A continuation of the story of Love Like the Galaxy, a Chinese drama starring Zhao Lusi as Cheng Shaosheng and Lu Wei as Ling Buyi. This is my own interpretation of how the story could continue. As Shaoshang and Buyi marry in Hua Country, they know they will need to face his family when they journey home to spread the news. Knowing the temper of the emperor well, they know he won't be happy and are prepared to face the usual questions and comments. After a grand wedding in the capital, the happy couple started to consider the rest of their life together but will face various challenges before they can finally settle for good.

In the blink of an eye, Shaoshang's life was turned upside down. Once a person with everything, she now finds herself shattered by the throes of heartbreak. The five years that followed witnessed a profound transformation, rendering her unrecognizable even to Huo Buyi, the one who knew her best. She is not Niao Niao anymore.
