Meet Liisa Itälä, a 26-year-old from Helsinki. She's the singer and bassist in a band called Ad Astra. Her life at the moment is quite boring and she longs for a person who gives it a purpose. Ville Valo, soon 35, is the singer of the famous band HIM. Ville already has a girlfriend. But is it a happy relationship?

London, Winter, 1999 Olivia Vane spends her days working in a record store and just trying to make it to closing time. Then there's Ville. He's in the middle of a rising rock scene, that makes him travel and visit London with his band to throw gigs. When they meet on a rain-slicked sidewalk, there are no sparks, only friction. She thinks he's a pretentious wreck. He thinks she's impossibly stubborn. But then their worlds collide. And with the frantic reality of a band on the brink of superstardom, they find something neither expected. It's not pretty, it's not sweet, and it's definitely not "easy.". It's a slow-burn of two people who are meant for each other not because they're perfect, but because they're both beautifully broken.
