Neither of them would ever live with themselves without seeing each other again, and so as the Opera Ghost continued endlessly composing after escaping death, the Swedish Songbird decided to go and try to find him. A bit of time -and music- will allow them a second chance at choosing a life together, which might come with more hardships yet. This work, inspired by The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, and a few historical events, explores the possibility of Erik and Christine building a life together. They will find themselves continuously learning about each other while trying to figure out what a marriage is, how to be parents, and what it takes to build a life away from home.

Gustave wasn't the only child. Four years later, Christine and Raoul had a daughter. Caroline was only five years old when her mother was killed. Raoul went into seclusion, so Gustave and Caroline were raised by The Phantom himself, even though one child wasn't his. As a teenager, Caroline's life changes after meeting reporter Katherine Plumber and hearing a mysterious voice in her head. Two years after everything happened, things are going well for Christine and Raoul, even to the point where they're finally comfortable enough to start a family and make a fresh start, but maybe it was too soon to hope for that when Christine is invited back to the opera house to help renew its reputation. Especially so when an old friend finds out about her and Raoul's plans of a family and tries to stop it in its tracks.

"How did you find me?" I jumped from his voice unaware he was behind me. My hearts beating impulsively, I can hear it coming out of my ears. My body's shaken up as I have the fearful courage to turn around and face him. We are a table apart from each other, the only thing separating our space. His eye concentrated on the floor unwilling to look up at me, his hand covering the deformed side of his face. I stood there quietly. Many mixed emotions running through my body. I was in anger. Angered that for a long time, this man falsely acclaimed he was my father. Angered that he murdered and destroyed everything in my name. Angered that he built up my chance to become apart of the music... my passion, only to shatter it down. I feel so ashamed and manipulated and yet for some reason I yearn for him, I'm drawn to him in the most confusing mesmerizing way. I'm a dose of crazy just as much as he is for finding him and now standing in front of him. He looked up at me, his eyes filled with pain that clenched at my heart, knowing that our goodbye was the last time we saw each other and had the most hardest bestow. I can feel my body tracing over to him, our eyes not leaving each other. He started pacing over to me in my way, his hand still rested on his face. Until we became feet apart from each other. I starred up at him, falling deep in his piercing blue eyes into the depths of this familiar spell. Suddenly my confusion of anger and frustration had vanished. Unknowing the reason why I came anymore. I touched his hand and gently removed it from his face only to replace it with mine. He closed his eyes as his head rested in my hand giving the acceptance of my touch. A tear trickled down his cheek then grasp my other hand holding it up to his lips kissing my hand with a much compassionate force. Our eyes interlocked once again while my lips trembling trying to force the words out of me "I..I've made a mistake..."
