Clouds. Mama. Sand. Run. Chase. Heavy. Cold. Keep going. Dark. Nazir. Find people. Blood. I'm sorry.
There were almost no other thoughts in Hono's head as he ran through the desert. The sun had left the sky for around an hour. Maybe two. Time began to blur what seemed like a year ago. The sky had begun to gain a slight blue hue off in one direction. Purple in the other. Directly above, there was a splatter of stars stretching from one corner of the sky to another. The sand in the distance looked like a sea of black ink that went on forever in any and all directions. An enormous, blinding moon was just kissing the crests of the black waves.
Eventually, Hono had to slow down. As he slowed to a stop, he stumbled and dropped to his hands and knees. The things in his pack shifted forward as he landed. He gasped for air. His hands looked like dark scorpions attached to his arms in the dark.
That was a sneak peek to a future chapter. Follow Hono through his life, and learn why he will be remembered for Centuries as an Echo of the man he might have grown up to be.
