Melissa starts at a new high school thanks to a scholarship. She thinks everything will go smoothly there-that she'll make friends and maybe even find a boyfriend-but Nadine, one of the most popular and wealthy students at the school, isn't going to make it easy for her. Melissa tries to ignore this and focuses on her studies, which only fuels Nadine's hatred toward her even more, since Melissa gets better grades than she does.
