After being in Genova for what felt like so long, Giulia and Luca were finally coming back to Portorosso for the summer. After what felt like ages, the underdogs will finally be reunited, and most importantly, Luca will finally be able to see his best friend Alberto again. Even with this in mind, Luca just feels weird. Is it his nerves? Is he just anxious? Whatever it is, Luca is feeling something he's never felt before. He just can't put his finger on it. Only time will tell.... (Disclaimer: This is set after the events of the movie "Luca". I am writing this story with the mindset that if you're reading this, then you've most likely already seen the movie. Summer has finally rolled round again, and Luca , now fourteen, is excited to see his friend , Alberto , ready to live freely with their sea monster identities out in the open. But what happens when he realises that things aren't all as they seem in this town? A new foe appears before the two, and their sole purpose is to rid Portorosso of the two sea monster boys who had found their home there, and anyone who got in their way. Along with this newfound foe, they have many situations thrown their way. How will Luca and Alberto work their way through these obstacles while also figuring out their own feelings? Luca's second year at school was not as he had anticipated at all. And things go from bad to worse. Basically gonna be angst, but also good times and getting hurt. ^^ Disclaimer: I HAVE NO IDEA HOW DIFFERENT SCHOOLS WERE LIKE IN THE 1950-60s. Perhaps I should've done a bit more research (i DID ask my dad about his school life tho so maybe that helps), but this is my first fanfic ever(that doesn't involve being homework) so I don't really wanna over do it I just fail to think school would be such an accepting place for Luca, speaking from my experiences. I mean the first year, sure, but the other years? Kids are assholes, schools don't do shit and we know it. Also I was gonna post this on AO3.
