She swallowed the lump in her throat as her breathing became ragged at their proximity. "I'm not playing at anything," he whispered. His eyes darted to her lips and quickly back up to her eyes. Oh fuck. This has gotta stop. And yet, her hand didn't move. She didn't move. Lucas didn't move. Until he did. "Maya," he whispered quietly as his hand raised to her waist.
