Dream is in prison. The prison he built for himself. Nightmare doesn't visit him as much but when he does, Dream can't help but question himself. And after weeks in prison, Dream commits. He comes back as a ghost. He doesn't remember much though but after running into Technoblade, Techno tries to ease his memory... Was Dream really such a bad person? Or was it just Nightmare controlling him?...

Last year I created a game that people could enter while sleeping. It was supposed to be harmless. Now thousands of players say my brother is the villain in their dreams. The problem is... He never even played the game.

Author's Note: This is a record of my lucid dreams. Some of them have followed me since childhood - vivid enough, intense enough, strange enough that they stayed in my memory long after waking. Those dreams make up the main chapters of this collection, written in the order I first experienced them. They form a kind of story, not because they were meant to, but because my mind kept returning to the same rules, the same shadows, the same pressure that always seemed to be waiting for me.
