When Mirabel left the Encanto after the huge fight with Abuela Alma the family fell apart. Isabella left soon after Mirabel, then Dolores, then Camilo and lastly Luisa. The only one left in the house was Antonio due to him bringing to small at the time to leave. But we all know if it wasn't for his age and having little to know idea where he's brother, sister and cousins were he'd have left with the rest of them. And that was it for a few years that was until abuela unexpected death. Leading to the whole family coming together again. There adventure will happen, quest will be given, hearts will be broken, hearts will be fixed, questions will be answered, while some may never be able to answers and old faces will be seen. All happening at the House of Mouse, who would have guessed?

It's another normal day in the Encanto... or so it seemed. A modern reader adapting to 1950s Columbia and the Encanto accepting modern reader. A slowish burn, with a not-so typical y/n, and a plot that revolves around romance but includes a heck of a lot more.

The Madrigals, a well known family of the land of Colombia, who inherits magic which is known as a gift. The Valenlzuelas, also a well known family, but the complete opposite of the Madrigals. The Valenzuelas' dislikes the Madrigals. Aside from one other who has a secret to hide from the family.. (After some time of thinking and with he help of my wattpad friends, I am writing this as a Camilo x Reader. Pronouns I'll be using is She/Her, They/Them along the way so if you don't like that then you can skip this one. Plot: Santiago Vasquez is The Best Friend of Mirabel Madrigal. They Met 8 Years Ago when Santiago saw Mirabel sitting alone near a pond after she was teased and mocked by a few kids for not having a gift like the other Madrigals, After comforting and cheering her up, Santiago asked Mirabel if he could eat lunch with her, since that day, the Two would become friends and always Spend time together despite Alma's strictness and Obsession with Perfection (Every Time She acts Rude or Strict towards Mirabel, Santiago would talk back and Defend Mirabel against her, not caring about what kind of person Alma is and would stand up for Mirabel until the end of time). After Antonio's Gift Ceremony, The Two discover that the Magic might Be in danger and that Mirabel might be their last hope.🕯️

Encanto is split into two parts- the upper levels and the outskirts. The people who live and depend on the Madrigals and the people who don't. The prosperous and the self-reliant. It has always been this way, and from the looks of it, it always will be. Valeria is happy living with a foot in both worlds, even when everyone else is against it. Besides, what's so wrong with the Madrigals? They like her, and she likes them. Those on the outskirts stick to themselves, away from the pompous, spoiled people that had a magical family to slave away for them. Except when there is a gifting ceremony, but those are few and far between. But there are people gathering, new threats that are coming after Encanto's guardians, after the Madrigals. Causing more chaos than anyone had ever seen since the events that had caused people to flee there over 50 years before. Beginning with Antonio Madrigal's gifting ceremony, the strange sightings around town and the prophecy that has been kept under the rug, Valeria is unsure of what to expect. She finds herself sucked into problem after problem, unable to separate herself from the responsibilities and expectations everyone has for her. Her feelings for the tricky shapeshifter really aren't making things easier for her. There are people lurking in the shadows, a threat that has come for the miracle. One that Valeria and only one other Madrigal are able to investigate. Few listen to them, and fewer are willing to do anything about the supposed 'danger' they discovered. Marriage proposals, invisible men, and broken candles line everything around Valeria. It's hard to discern what is right and what she should fight for when she finds out secrets about the past, present, and future. Confusion haunts her steps, doubt is a constant companion. But sometimes you have to give up personal pleasures and security to save others. Sometimes you have to be ready to give up your life and save the Last Candle.
