A 'behind the scenes' look into my other story, "Alex and Luke; a Julie and the Phantoms AU." This is the diary that was mentioned a few times throughout the fic, and a lot of readers commented about saying that I should write it. Well.... y'all ask, my co-writer and I supply! This 'diary' is told from Luke's POV and is him recalling what he experienced and how he felt throughout his dates with Alex, his view on other events mentioned in the original fic, and includes a few extras. Everyone knows how Luke and Alex had something going on between them before they passed. There are many fan fics about how they got together, but I've always wondered what was the reasoning behind their split. So I decided to write my take on it. Alex is tired of feeling hidden by his boyfriend. But his boyfriend isn't ready for anyone else to know. Luke wants to give him everything he wants. But what he wants isn't something Luke is ready to give. Where Luke is still hiding his sexuality and relationship with Alex from his friends and family, and Alex is growing tired of hiding.

Luke and Alex dated in the 90s. They broke up and are slowly moving on with Julie and Willie. What happens when they realize the only thing they can think about is each other.

If you haven't watched Julie and the Phantoms, I highly recommend it. If you have then you have most likely seen the ship going around. Lalex is special though because both Charlie and Owen confirmed there character had something back in the 90s. Obviously me being the person who ships everything gay, I had to write about it. Luke, Reggie and Bobby all discover they want the same thing, a band. Except they are missing a key component, a drummer. Luckily Luke makes friends with the tall blond he gets sat next to in class. Luke learns about his knack for drumming and a couple other thinks In the drummers life. The story shows each characters perspective on life. It shows how they deal with there problems, complications, and obstacles not alone, but with there bandmates by their side. If you haven't picked it up by now this is set in the 90's (specifically 1994-1995) and it might be a story about Luke and Alex but I talk about Reggie and Bobbies past too!

A night alone in the loft leads to a romance neither of them planned. (Takes place in the 90's before they died)

A while ago on an Instagram live with Madison and Charlie, it was brought up very briefly that Luke and Alex -- when the guys were still alive, that is -- were together. To this, Charlie responded by saying "yea, of course." Furthermore, in a Wikipedia-esque webpage made for Sunset Curve, in the bio section for Luke it states something along the lines of "previously had a relationship with bandmate Alex." This topic was also brought up while Owen was on an Instagram live, where he said that it was something that definitely happened and that they had "something special." A lot of people are pretty sure they were both joking (and i am, too) but the idea of it is cute and leaves a potential back story to be desired. So, from an idea spouted on my TikTok (@lowqualitykate), this fic was born. This is my fan-made storyline of the events that preceded a relationship, and how a relationship could have gone down between Luke and Alex months before that one fateful night at the Orpheum.
