On the last day of freshman year the principal of Lanson High School, Mrs. Bennett, called Vanessa Trixton into her office where she told her she would be skipping sophomore year. Vanessa is now starting her junior year when she's partnered with her best friend's older brother, Luke Hemmings, who she barely knows; even though she's been at his house nearly every day for 7 years.

After childhood friend Calum Hood calls up begging for her to 'fake date' him after being spotted out with a colleague, Sophie Willis is now Calum's new 'girlfriend' in the public eye. All whilst having to keep the facade a secret from the paparazzi and the rest of the band. Dealing with the gossip columns and seemingly endless rumours is one thing, but when a certain lip pierced lead singer doesn't buy the act, and is determined to find out who Sophie really is, things get a whole lot harder.

Luke Hemmings has been Aimee's dream boy for as long as she can remember. He is all she ever thinks about. She's completely and utterly infatuated with him. But the trouble is, he doesn't even know her name. Luke is isolated, and past trauma lurks deep within.
