Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Ashton Irwin, and Calum Hood started a small band when they were in high school. They were meant to make it big. But things didn't work out when Michael and Luke couldn't get along well enough (or at all) to make it to their first tour. The band breaking up was the biggest disappointment of there lives. So when Ashton calls them up saying they have one last chance to make it big, how can they refuse. The only question is if Michael and Luke can stand each other long enough for the band to survive. Or maybe they'll find something so much better in their new reunion.

After leaving behind a past he'd rather forget, Luke is excited to finally be living on his own. With the help of his foster parents and best friend, Calum, he finds the perfect apartment- well, almost. The walls are paper thin and there's no hot water after 11 pm, but Luke doesn't care. It's finally a place that Luke can call his own, and while it's lonelier than he expected, it's all his. And if that means he can spend each night curled up with a hot cup of tea reading aloud his favorite mystery novel, he's happy. Contrary to what his best friend Ashton thinks, Michael likes his life as it is, thank you very much. After surviving an accident that left him permanently blind, Michael's become dependent on his monotonous schedule. Breakfast with Ashton, working on the next novel for his publicist, and dinner with his neighbor, Sierra. Routine and control rule his life and keep him shackled to his shoebox of an apartment, but he prefers it this way. Until he hears his new neighbor reading aloud the book that he wrote. Blacking out has always been a problem for Michael, since he was young, he's only started not knowing what he's doing half the time. He's always hated this, but then Luke comes into his life and starts making him feel needed.

Luke just wanted a normal life: an accepted partner, a kind family, and a job he didn't completely hate. He almost had that - only his father hated his ex boyfriend, his family took him in so they had to be kind enough, and his job was decent with a good pay, but nothing was normal. Everything was far from normal. When an alien spacecraft crashed only a mile away from his job in the middle of the night, his life became a whole lot less normal, and a whole lot more messy.
