Every night, there's one thing that April needs to sleep: Connor. His voice, his breath, his smell, his touch. It's everything April every needed. However, at school, it's a completely different story. Connor, the popular hot guy has never acknowledged April, the shy genius. So why did he come over every night? Truth is, even April didn't know the answer to that, and she barely cared. If Connor was in her room every night, then it was fine with her. But when Connor tries to close that gap between them in public, how's that going affect his friendship with April?

The feeling that washed over me as I watched their houses burn down was indescribable, but the complete calm that engulfed me as I listened to their cries for help was infinitely better. As I fell asleep to the sounds of screams each night, I couldn't help but smile. I wouldn't expect anyone to understand. Many people don't know how to find calm, or where to look for her, but I sure did. You see, she liked to play hide and seek a lot, but she'd always be the one hiding and I'd always be the one seeking, and some people might call that unfair but I enjoyed being the seeker. It made me feel important; if I couldn't find calm, then no one ever would. But believe me, she's always found. Moon, There are days when missing you feels like carrying ghost inside my chest-But silent, but alive in the way it still steal my breath. I don't speak about you anymore. Not because you don't matter, but because some aches are too sacred to explain. People wouldn't understand how absence can be louder than presence. They wouldn't understand how someone can still live inside you long after they're gone from your life. I once tought healing meant forgetting. Now I know it means learning to carry the weight differently. To let the ache sit with me, but not let it own me. Yes, I lost myself for a while. Yes I burned in the missing. But it wasn't enough to live a substantial life. Until the day little Alice meets Valerian and Laureline and begs for their help until they concede. But can they really help them, or is Alice just being foolishly young?
