Coming from Hawkins Middle School, The Misfits deal with a whole bunch of bullshit on the daily. It hasn't really changed much from since when they made the group in the first place, but they're okay with that. They've got eachothers backs. However, this school year isn't like the others. Enter, practice prom! Hawkins High is throwing a "practice prom" this year, called 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭. Mike is obviously pissed off, considering that his parents are jet set on making him participate in 𝘢𝘭𝘭 school activities. He doesn't even have a reason to go! He doesn't have anyone to go with considering that 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 expect him in the party has a date. Enter Will Byers. Will Byers joins a few weeks before The Snowball, and considering how short the school year was, he pretty much joined when everyone else did. Mike Wheeler, his neighbor, instantly fell head over heels for him, inviting him to the party. It was peetty much social suicide, but he didn't really care. Mike is hoping to come out of his shell to ask him if he wants to go to The Snowball with him, but hes scared that hes not... Like him.
