Minsan daw sa isang byahe ay tumigil daw ang kanilang jeep pansamantala sa tabi ng ilog. 'Yong kabarangay daw nilang pinaghihinalaang aswang ay dumadaing na nagugutom na raw siya. Paalis na sana ang jeep ngunit wala pa 'yong kabarangay nilang "aswang". Hinanap daw nila ito at sa 'di kalayuan ay may nakitang isang itim na baboy na kumakain ng damo. Pinaigting nito ang kanilang paniniwala na aswang nga ang kabarangay nilang iyon. Sa iba pang kwento, ang nasabing "aswang" ay pinaghihinalaang kinain daw ang kanyang pamilya sa sobrang gutom nito. Mahirap paniwalaan ang kwentong ito ngunit noon pa ma'y sumasagi na sa isip ko, "Paano kung ang mga aswang ay isa sa mga species ng mga tao? Hindi ba't hayop din naman tayo? At ang mga hayop ay may iba't-ibang species?" Isang tanong na mahirap hanapan ng sagot.
